Our Strategic Plan:

Our Future

Our Future, Together

Our Strategic Plan 2026–2031 guides the next chapter of the Youth & Family Wellness Camp. Rooted in culture, connected to the land, and shaped by community voices, it sets out how we will strengthen programs, reduce barriers, support wellbeing, and grow thoughtfully for generations to come.

Our Vision

Indigenous children, youth, and families in Treaty #3 have a safe, joyful, and culturally grounded place to belong, heal, learn, lead, and grow—rooted in culture, connected to the land, strengthened by community, and living mino-bimaadiziwin—the good life.

Looking Ahead

We will bring this plan to life through phased growth, building on our strengths while responding to community needs. Along the way, we will track progress, learn from participants and communities, and use those insights to strengthen our programs and guide our decisions.

OUR STRATEGIC PRIORITIES

Shaped by Our Community

Our strategic plan grew from the voices of youth, families, Elders, Knowledge Keepers, community members, and staff. Between January and June 2026, we gathered ideas through surveys, conversations, community gatherings, and planning sessions to understand what matters most and where Camp can grow.

Across these conversations, shared priorities emerged: supporting families, keeping culture and land central, reducing barriers to access, growing sustainably, and nurturing meaningful relationships. Youth-led discussions and visioning activities helped shape a future that reflects the aspirations of the young people we serve.

Together, these perspectives formed the foundation of our strategic plan, guiding how we strengthen our programs, spaces, and connections in the years ahead.
