Equine Program
Equine Program
Equine Wellness Program
The Equine Program brings the healing power of horses to the forefront. Horses, with their innate ability to connect with people, offer a unique and impactful approach to healing, wellbeing, and lasting transformations. Participants establish deep connections with the horses, fostering positive changes in their personal lives.

Equine Assisted Learning
An experiential learning program where participants work alongside horses to build practical life skills such as communication, teamwork, leadership, and problem-solving. Guided activities with horses create powerful opportunities for growth, self-awareness, and confidence.
Learn To Ride
Start from the very beginning and build your confidence step by step. Participants learn the basics of horsemanship, riding skills, and safety while developing trust with their horse—working their way up to enjoying a guided trail ride through the land on beautiful trails.

Equine Therapeutic Services
Equine Therapeutic Services offer one-on-one counselling sessions with a mental health professional in the calming presence of horses. These sessions create a supportive space where participants can reflect, build trust, and explore healing while spending time on the land.
Share The Love
Our retired horses may no longer be part of riding programs, but they still have so much to give. This program focuses on spending quiet, meaningful time with these gentle horses through grooming, leading, and connection—offering them care, attention, and purpose.

Animal Care
Spend time caring for the animals that call Camp home. From feeding and grooming horses to helping look after ducks, chickens, cats, and bunnies, participants learn responsibility, compassion, and the importance of caring for living things.
Ojibwe Spirit Horses
Ojibwe Spirit Horses have been integral to life on Turtle Island, known for their sturdiness and ability to thrive in northern conditions. Indigenous Peoples have fostered respectful relationships with these horses for generations. Today, they serve as gentle companions and teachers in healing and learning environments, emphasizing connection and resilience while reminding us of our responsibilities to each other and the land.

Waasamowen (Lightning)
I am a 16 year old Ojibwe Spirit Horse from Nigigoonsiminikaaning First Nation. I am very smart, and a bit bossy. I like to be around people!

Animikii (Thunder)
I am a 14 year old Ojibwe Spirit Horse from Nigigoonsiminikaaning First Nation. I like my independence, and don't particularly like attention. I am the leader of the Ojibwe ponies here, even though I'm the smallest.
